Wepler proved himself to be a pivotal part of the team but unfortunately met his demise during a battle with Beauty Lola's Ratatta on Route 13 when Ratatta used Pursuit, hitting Wepler before Jared could swap over to Jeflump. Jared did momentarily consider using a potion on Wepler, which could have potentially saved his life.
